01 Acceptance of terms

By using GeoTools Pro, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you use GeoTools Pro on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

02 Description of the service

GeoTools Pro provides a free, browser-based platform of 13 reference calculation tools for topography, geodesy and photogrammetry, including:

• GSD (Ground Sample Distance) Calculator for UAV/drone photogrammetry
• Drone Flight Condition Indices (meteorological data via Open-Meteo)
• UTM ↔ Geographic coordinate conversion with 20+ geodetic datum support
• Geodesic Distance (Haversine formula)
• Magnetic Declination (NOAA World Magnetic Model WMM-2025)
• UTM Scale Factor (datum-aware ellipsoid parameters)
• Decimal ↔ DMS/GMS coordinate converter
• Geodetic Datum Transformation (20+ datums, full towgs84 shifts)
• Geoid Undulation — EGM2008 (ellipsoidal to orthometric height)
• UTM to KML/KMZ export (Google Earth, QGIS, ArcGIS compatible)
• Azimuth and Radiation calculation
• Contour Lines (IDW interpolation + Marching Squares, PDF/SVG/CSV export)

The service is provided free of charge and is sustained by advertising revenue through Google AdSense. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

03 Intended use — planning and educational only

Any professional application of results requires independent verification using certified and audited software, and sign-off by a licensed surveyor, geodesist or civil engineer with legal responsibility for the work.

04 Accuracy disclaimer

While we strive for mathematical correctness, GeoTools Pro makes no guarantee that results are free from errors. Known technical limitations include:

• Magnetic declination (analytical model) — accuracy ±3°. Use the NOAA/WMM query for precision work, or official IBGE declination charts.
• Datum transformations — towgs84 parameters are standard approximations and may differ from high-accuracy national realisations for specific epochs or survey classes.
• Geoid undulation (EGM2008) — the implementation uses a truncated degree-20 approximation (±0.5–3 m typical accuracy). For certified surveys, use the full 2190-degree EGM2008 model via IBGE, NGS NCAT or GeographicLib.
• Contour lines — IDW interpolation quality depends on point cloud density and distribution. Results are approximations, not surveyed contours.
• Drone weather indices — based on Open-Meteo forecast model data. Always consult official aviation weather services and DECEA authorisations before any UAV flight operation.

05 Permitted and prohibited use

You may:

• Use GeoTools Pro freely for planning, pre-dimensioning, field orientation and educational purposes.
• Share links to specific tools using URL parameters (e.g. ?tool=utm).
• Reference results in study materials or academic work, clearly noting they are preliminary and unverified estimates.

You may not:

• Use results as the sole technical basis for final engineering deliverables, official surveys or legally binding geodetic documents without independent professional validation.
• Present GeoTools Pro results as certified, audited or legally binding data.
• Scrape, crawl or harvest content using automated tools.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract proprietary source code or algorithms.
• Transmit malware, spam or any unlawful content through the platform.
• Circumvent, disable or interfere with security or access control features.
• Use the platform in any manner that violates applicable local, national or international law.

06 Intellectual property

All source code, design elements, algorithms, schemas and content of GeoTools Pro are the intellectual property of GeoTools Pro and its developer, unless otherwise attributed. All rights reserved.

The calculation results you produce using GeoTools Pro are your own data and are not claimed by GeoTools Pro in any way.

07 Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

GeoTools Pro is supported by advertising through Google AdSense (Publisher ID: ca-pub-4802821151094647). Advertisements are served by Google LLC and its advertising partners based on your browsing behaviour, subject to your cookie consent choice.

GeoTools Pro does not control the content of individual advertisements and is not responsible for products, services or claims made in third-party ads. Clicking on an advertisement will take you to a third-party website governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy.

If you decline cookies, no advertising scripts are loaded during your session. You may also opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.

08 External services and APIs

GeoTools Pro integrates with the following external services, which operate under their own terms:

• NOAA Geomagnetic Calculator API — U.S. government service. Use subject to NOAA's disclaimer.
• Open-Meteo API — Open-source weather service. Subject to Open-Meteo terms.
• Cloudflare CDN — proj4js, JSZip and jsPDF libraries are loaded from Cloudflare's cdnjs. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.

GeoTools Pro is not responsible for the availability, accuracy or terms of these external services.

09 Disclaimer of warranties

GeoTools Pro is provided "as is" and "as available", strictly as a planning and educational reference tool, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, technical accuracy, professional suitability or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components. GeoTools Pro expressly disclaims any suitability for use in final engineering deliverables, certified surveys, legal boundary definitions or safety-critical applications. Your use of the service is entirely at your own risk.

10 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GeoTools Pro and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from or related to:

• Your use of or inability to use the service or any calculation result;
• Errors, inaccuracies or omissions in any calculation output;
• Decisions made — professional or otherwise — based on results produced by the platform;
• Unauthorised access to, alteration of, or loss of your data;
• Interruptions or cessation of the service;
• Any other matter relating to the service.

11 Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of GeoTools Pro shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brazil, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law applicable in your jurisdiction.

12 Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be notified via a banner on the GeoTools Pro homepage. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
