GeoTools Pro is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, your rights under LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados — Lei 13.709/2018) and GDPR (Regulation EU 2016/679), and how Google AdSense advertising cookies operate on this platform.
01 Who we are and data controller
GeoTools Pro (geoprotools.app) is a free, browser-based platform for topography, geodesy and photogrammetry reference calculations. The platform is developed and operated by Anderson, reachable at [email protected].
For the purposes of the LGPD (Brazil) and GDPR (European Union), GeoTools Pro acts as the data controller for any personal data processed through this website.
02 Intended use of the platform
The platform is designed for pre-project planning, field orientation, rapid estimation and educational study. It is not a certified or audited engineering system.
03 What data we collect
Data you enter directly:
- Numeric values in calculation fields (coordinates, altitudes, distances) — processed locally in your browser only, never transmitted to our servers.
- Language and display preferences — saved in browser
localStorage. - Cookie consent choice — stored in browser
localStorage.
Data collected automatically (only after you accept cookies):
- Usage analytics — page views and interaction data via Google Analytics (if active).
- Advertising data — Google AdSense collects browsing data to serve relevant ads. See Section 5 for full details.
- Server access logs — IP address, browser type, referring URL and timestamp, retained up to 90 days for security and performance monitoring.

05 Google AdSense and third-party cookies
GeoTools Pro uses Google AdSense (Publisher ID: ca-pub-4802821151094647) to display advertisements. AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies operated by Google LLC and its advertising partners, including DoubleClick.
localStorage.Cookies set by Google AdSense:
- _ga, _gid — Google Analytics session/user identifiers
- IDE — DoubleClick ad personalisation cookie (expires ~13 months)
- DSID — Google account linking for signed-in users
- NID — Stores preferences and ad targeting signals
Google's data processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Advertising Policies. You can manage or opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
06 External APIs used
The following external APIs may receive data only when you explicitly trigger a specific calculation — no automatic background requests are made:
- NOAA Geomagnetic Calculator API (
ngdc.noaa.gov) — latitude, longitude and date sent when you query Magnetic Declination. Governed by NOAA's Privacy Policy. - Open-Meteo API (
api.open-meteo.com) — latitude and longitude sent when you fetch Drone Flight Indices. Open-Meteo is an open-source project and does not store personal data. See Open-Meteo Terms.
07 Data retention
- localStorage data (preferences, consent) — stored in your browser until you clear it. No copy is held on our servers.
- Server access logs — retained up to 90 days for security monitoring, then permanently deleted.
- Google AdSense/Analytics data — governed by Google's own retention policies (typically 13–26 months for advertising cookies).
08 Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request confirmation and a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — Request that we limit how we process your data.
- Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent — You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing browser localStorage and declining cookies on your next visit. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.

09 Children's privacy
GeoTools Pro is designed for professional and educational use by adults. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this platform, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.
10 International data transfers
GeoTools Pro may transfer data to servers located outside Brazil and the European Economic Area. Transfers via Google AdSense and Google Analytics are protected by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses, which are reviewed and approved by data protection authorities.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the GeoTools Pro homepage. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
